Other costs for your family to consider:

• ​You will need to provide your Au Pair: a private bedroom, all meals* and weekly pocket money as agreed between you and your Au Pair in exchange for childcare and other services.

• Bonus for your Au Pair at the end of their 6-month placement.

 

• If you require your Au Pair to drive your family car, we recommend that you update your car insurance accordingly. Please look over your cover and check the nominated driver age and excess clauses.

 

• Transfer from the airport or hostel to your home.

• We request a Police Check for anyone living in the family(s) home over the age of 18 years. 
   

• Note: our Team are very happy, for a small cost, to arrange Au Pair training & First Aid Training if you would like your Au Pairtrained in these areas.

The process:

• Register or Enquire: Enquire or register via our website. All of our enquiries are strictly confidential. A member of our team will be in contact with you to discuss the needs of you and your family. 

 

• Consultation: If the application and interview process is successful, you will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $200.00. This payment will then allow the team at Au Pair Care Australia to begin the process of finding a suitable Au Pair through our screening and matching process, with the intent of being able to introduce you to someone to share this cultural experience with.

• Screening and Matching process: During a thorough interview with one of our team members, we will establish a more holistic understanding of your family’s needs and requirements. Based on your requirements during the registration / interview process, you will be provided with potential Au Pair profiles for your consideration. The selection is usually based on common interests between the Host Family and the Au Pair and who are looking for similar cultural experiences.

• Interview / Introduction: This now gives you an opportunity to interview any of the Au Pairs that you have selected to learn more about. An interview can be via telephone, Skype, Facetime or simply meeting for a coffee in person at a local cafe. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding the cultural experience and to also inform the Au Pair about what may be required of them.

• An invitation to your chosen Au Pair: Once you have selected and interviewed an Au Pair that you feel will compliment your family, your next step would be to formally extend an invitation to your chosen Au Pair to join your family for a wonderful cultural experience in Australia.

• Support: For your reassurance, our team is available to provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure this experience is an enriching and rewarding one for your whole family. 
   

• Replacement of an Au Pair: If your Au Pair leaves within 30 days we offer one free replacement provided you have met your obligations as a Host Family.
