The thing I loved was that she was always so kind to us, even when she was not feeling the best.
We often video chatted with her and she made us feel really comfortable and safe.
Normally you would have to pay for a service like hers.
A big, big thank you to you Michelle, for helping us and organising everything with and for us! 💛

Discover Australia for yourself. Here's a small taste . . .
Au Pair Care Australia has opportunities all over Australia.
There are NO costs to Au Pairs for our service. Let us find a Host Family for you!
What your Au Pair cultural experience from Au Pair Care Australia includes:

-
Enquire or register on our website. We will then be in contact to start the application/interview process or go through any questions you may have.
-
We will then ask you to complete an application form and provide character/childcare references and all other necessary documentation.
-
Once we establish and confirm your suitability to become an Au Pair with our service, we will begin to look at the families on our database that we feel would complement your abilities and needs.
-
All Host Families in our program have been interviewed by a member of our team.
-
Receiving host family profiles can take as little as 1 day to 3-4 weeks, however it can take longer depending on what the Host families, and your requirements are.
-
Potential Host Families will be provided with your profile, so they can choose whether you are most suited to join their family. The selection is usually based on common interests that you and the Host Family share and also what you both what to gain from the cultural experience.
-
Remember, the host family will be choosing you based on what information you have provided in your application, supporting documents and letter to the family – so making a good impression right from the start will assist in your placement.
-
-
When you or a Host Family feel that you would like to get to know each other more, the host family will make contact with you. This is where you will have the opportunity for more formal introductions and to ask any questions you may have of them and their lifestyle.
-
Our team at Au Pair Care Australia will have regular contact with you throughout this introduction process, to ensure you feel confident in your choices.
-
When a Host Family wishes to offer you a placement, you will receive a formal invitation from them. This will confirm details of your placement including agreed start dates and other information. We will continue to present your profile to interested families until you have formally accepted a placement.

-
Once a placement is confirmed between you and the Host Family, we will also send you an official letter of confirmation as well as an information booklet.
-
You will need to now organise and pay for a Working Holiday Visa if you do not already have one, organise Comprehensive Travel Insurance and provide a Criminal Check. If you are not currently in Australia, you will also need to book and pay for your flight to and from Australia. Our team are here to assist you with any of these steps if required.
-
We will continue to communicate and resource you about the Australian culture and other relevant information to help you familiarise yourself before your arrival.
-
Our team recommends regular communication with your Host Family to help ease you into their family life. Having a Skype or Whatsapp account is a fantastic way to really get to know your Host Family.

During placement you may expect:

-
In exchange for providing childcare and other services, you can expect weekly pocket money, accommodation and all your meals.

-
2 days off per week.

-
A lovely bonus after 6 months placement.

-
Support and resources from our team.
-
Meet-ups with other Au Pairs.

Also please keep in mind you will need money to cover:
-
Any personal expenses, including travel after completion of placement.

-
Transfers for your return flight to home Country or onward personal travels plans.

For All Au Pairs:
-
In Australia, it is a legal requirement if you are working or volunteering with children to obtain a Working With Children's Check, relevant to the state you are Au pairing in (this maybe an additional cost to you).

-
Leading up to the day of your placement we will confirm arrangements for either your Host Family to pick you up from the airport or a hostel or provide transport assistance to their home.
